FAQ's

  • How long after the initial treatment does it take to see results?
Results will vary according to the type of pest, treatment methods and products used. For example, immediate results can be seen when a yellow jacket nest is removed or treated with a liquid pesticide. However, when using baits for ants, rodents, and termites the process takes longer since the pests have to ingest the product for it to be effective. Your inspector and technician will outline what your expectations for your particular problem should be.

  • How do you safely remove bees without killing them?
The bees are vacuumed into a special bee vac that has a catch box for the bees. Then we carefully cut out the wax comb filled with honey, pollen and brood, saving what we can. We will then give the bees a new home at one of our bee yards.
  • Is it illegal to kill bees?
It is not illegal to kill bees, however it is not recommended. Honeybees can produce over 60 pounds of honey per year. When it is left in ceilings and walls it has been known to ooze out and cause a mess, not to mention attracting other animals and pests. Pollinators are also an integral part of food production, without them our choices would be greatly limited to a much smaller selection of foods.
  • How do I keep spiders out of my home?
A: There are some simple steps you can take to reduce the likelihood of spiders entering your home. First, be sure that your home is thoroughly sealed. Go around the outside of your home and check that windows, doors, and other points of entry are caulked and weatherstripped. Next, check the exterior of your home for spider webs. If you find webs in your garage, on your porch, or under your carport, use a vacuum to remove them.
